One in a Melon Birthday Party
August 7, 2018
My baby is ONE! Time is a thief!
Choosing a watermelon themed party was an easy one. First, my baby LOVES watermelon, and second it’s summertime so watermelon is easy to come by. It actually turned out difficult finding pink watermelon decor so I ended up making a lot of my own decorations including the party hats, tassel garland, black seeds on some of the pink balloons, and “one in a melon” banner. I love how it all turned out!
I secretly wish I was a professional baker in real life. I love making cakes and want to take a cake decorating class someday. I’m very much self-taught!
Etsy is the place I go to for all of my party invites. I got this one from a shop called Let Me Paperie and she was so quick at emailing me the jpeg that I had printed at Costco.
Green dyed vanilla cupcakes, pink swirl buttercream frosting, and mini chocolate chips as the watermelon seeds.
Rice Krispie watermelon treats was possibly my favorite idea ever and it was super easy! I found the idea here.
The party hat inspiration came from here. Along with the idea to draw seeds on the pink balloons with a black permanent marker. **My husband put together a watermelon trivia game and the winner won their very own watermelon 🙂
Happy 1st birthday to the sweetest baby girl we know!
