What’s for dinner?
This is probably the question us moms get asked (and ask ourselves) the most! Making dinner as a mom can be a daunting task especially if you have a newborn or picky eaters on your hands. Cue the “I don’t want to eat this green stuff, Mom!” because you know it’s a battle every night.
I personally enjoy cooking dinner for the most part, but only if I have a plan. I’m famous for blindly shopping at the grocery store; putting food in my cart that may or may not combine to create our meals for the week. I struggle with meal planning so I thought I’d create a blog post with all of our family favorite recipes so you (and I) can refer back to it the next time you have no idea what to buy at the grocery store or what to whip up for dinner! These are our tried and true favorites.
Dinner Ideas:
- Korean Beef and rice – Six Sisters has the best recipes. I love them!
- Lasagna with either canned corn or fresh corn on the cob, and french bread, of course!
- Hamburgers & chips, steamed broccoli.
- Tacos. I make my own taco seasoning for the ground beef that’s really easy and I usually double it so I can store a bunch for later use.
- Stir fry. Our favorite combo to cook on the skillet is zucchini, spinach, onion, broccoli, carrots, eggs and chicken. Served over rice and flavored with soy sauce.
- Beef Pasta Alfredo: Penne, beef, alfredo, green onions, tomatoes, and basil. Yum!
- Baked Sweet and Sour Chicken with Fried Rice
- Breakfast for dinner! We love the Kodiak pancake and waffle protein mix.
Favorite Crock Pot Recipes:
- Stuffed Green Peppers
- Chicken Tortilla Soup
- Pork Roast – we like to buy it pre-seasoned from our local grocery store.
I’m always on the lookout for more recipes to add to the rotation! Comment below what your family’s favorite dinner is!
